Shade Pratt, a.k.a. Fola, is a Portland based creative specializing in large scale public art and illustration. Her work pulls from her multifaceted background of design, engineering, and sport. Often putting a spin on the familiar, she creates colorful scenes that embrace how shape, shadow, layering and movement interact. These whimsical works of abstraction are derived from Fola’s thoughts, emotions, and observations of the world. With her ever-evolving approach to art, she is constantly pushing to expand how we think of art and breaking the traditional norms.
